The passing days

I hold the smoke in my hand...
That emanates from my beer coated lips..
The setting sun in front of my eyes..
And the dream all sunken to catch the clouds..
From the ringing alarm to the rising sun..
I rush to the place where i get work..
The latter never turns out actually..
And the former always kicks me bad..
The dull daily where i wish to land..
And the music in the ears soothes my spirit..
The only sun that inspires me...
And its rays that unleashes the energy within...
The light that illuminates her face...
And i think the radiance all in me...
For a moment i feel transcendental...
For a moment i feel she is next to me...
All alleviated...and all pacified...
Again the day begins that gets my soul drilled..
Again i return to the place where i sleep
With the smoke in my hand emanating from dry lips...
The latter is now a habit..
And the former never turns out to be...
The same setting sun and the birds returning home..
The sunken dream that i just see...
All this has become my life whatsoever it may be...
All this is what i do whenever i feel lone...!!!

i adore this poem as i think it is really rather deep and meaningful and the fact that there are so many different interpretations to come of it.

when i first read this poem i assumed (like the majority) that he was talking of a lover but on re-read after re-read i began to realise that he could be talking to a lover, but also to himself. as it seems he is saying goodbye to either his own life or a lover. the simple fact that he is talking about dreams here shows some confusion of wether things can eally ever leave for good if life is jus one long dream " is it herefore the less gone?". it is implying that life itself is a dream and that nobody is really here it is just a figment of our imagination.

Sorry if it hurts you but can i ask why? Coz your answer confused me more.. I understand a poet may not have any reason for the loss made unknowingly but they can be recovered. Anyways besides that people call me lucky charm...i wish.. may my god bless you with everything so that people can continue reading life through your heart. I hope some day a poem will show how happy a life can be just because of the love..n i would love to feel those by your lines. Good luck

My previous question was for the poem on voicesnet. I think you took in some other way. No issues. Goodbye

I will pray for you and ask the Lord to give you a brake... If its any consolation my friend they do say that he likes to test his angels more than the rest of us... hmmmmmm have you looked closely at your back lately??? maybe there are wings budding !!! :-)

@Ruhani
ripples in the ocean don't matter
i want things to be bigger

Ruhani said...

In this ocean our thoughts travel, each thought make a ripple and a difference deep inside. It depends on what you have in your mind.. And what have you written there.. loss of soul.. Should it be compared with ripples? No na.. Be happy.. At least try for someones's sake. And one more thing i would like to praise about..the smile in the photo is sooo cute!!
